Eugen Henziross was born in Niederbuchsiten near Solothurn and died in Bern. He was a painter, art instructor, and designer of posters.

 

This beautiful colorful oil shows the influence of the post-impressionists Cezanne and Matisse in the table cloth and pears below the bouquet.
