This beautiful etching is not signed, but was purchased as part of a lot of drawings and other works attributed to a Swiss artist named Gubert Griot.

 

A woman sits on her simple chair, perhaps weary after a long day of work.

 

This is a work just inviting a storyteller to spin a tale around it!
