Born 1913 in Oberdiessbach, Canton Bern,

the painter and engraver Gustav Stettler taught art in Basel. He became a co-founder of the Basel Artists Association known as "Kreis 48" whose artists were known for existential themes.

 

Lithograph - Numbered 5/45 and signed in pencil by the artist. Dated 1958.
