The Geneva-born artist Adolphe Potter was a student of the Barbizon school painters Theodore Rousseau and Charles-François Daubigny. His landscape paintings can be found in many French and Swiss museums.
Adolphe Potter was the father of the well-known orientalist painter Maurice Potter.
